Bart has been a fanatic gamer ever since he was 10 years old. He graduated for his bachelor degree in Business Administration (while playing hours and hours of Doom and Command & Conquer) in 2000. His first job as a product manager for Atari Benelux was a dream come true. Nearly three years and 100 game releases later he was asked to come to work for Diesel Benelux as a channel marketing manager thanks to a joint promotion with the game ‘Driver 2’.
He worked at Diesel for almost five years taking the first steps in interactive advertising and the companies’ CRM strategy’. Then, in 2007, the Dutch advertising agency Crossmarks, with whom he had worked for almost five years, invited him to come work for them. He started studying again (Master of Brand Management) and wrote a paper about games and marketing in 2009. The paper evolved into a book of 200 pages and Kluwer published it at the end of 2009.
In that same year, Bart founded BrandNewGame and he’s been helping companies and brands to use games as a marketing tool ever since. He is a regular speaker and loved for his humor, intelligence and creativity. If you have any questions about advergames, gamification, serious games or social games. Bart is your game boy!
