MASTER CHEF | CREATIVE INNOVATOR Angélique loves exploring and expanding boundaries - her own as well as those of her audience. For years, she did so while safeguarding a Michelin Star, and now she shifted her focus towards readers, listeners, viewers, and air travellers. At present, six books by Angélique's hand have been published, including ‘Flavour Friends Vegetables and Flavour Friends Fruit’ as her most recent and most celebrated publication, covering the unique method of culinary mind mapping. Writing is not her only means of sharing her expertise, however. Her fondness of theatre regularly spurs her onto the stage, using it as a platform to voice her refreshing culinary intermezzos at symposiums and events. She is also one of the regular hosts at 24Kitchen Television channel. She inspires fellow chefs and food industry professionals by her workshops and inspiration boosts on Taste & Flavour Design. She travels the globe to fan her culinary flames, during which her training at COCD - Centre for development of Creative Thinking - keeps leading to surprising new ideas. One of the best examples is the CuliAir Hot Air Balloon Restaurant, where her guests live the high life in every sense.

COOKBOOKS | FLAVOUR FRIENDS Angélique is an open book when it comes to her profession. Rather than guarding culinary secrets, she wants nothing more than to share them with other people. To her, writing cookbooks is a way of venting her knowledge, inspiration, and experience by spreading it to a worldwide audience. By her works titled Le Grand Dessert, The Chocolate Book, Swinging in the Kitchen, and A Mouthful of Art (winner of the 2002 Gourmand World Cookbook Award for the world's most innovative cookbook), Angélique has truly managed to carve out a own niche as a cookbook author. By the close of 2010, she published the Dutch version of Flavour Friends to add the icing to the cake. Gourmand World Cookbook Awards elected this revitalising cookbook, dotted with culinary mind maps, as 'Best Entertaining Cookbook' of the Netherlands. In addition, Flavour Friends came out on top in the Concepts & Cocreation category at the 2011 Horecava Innovation Awards. Following the success of the vegetables edition, the fruits edition is published in december 2012. Moreover, Angélique puts the Flavour Friends concept to practice for her readers, by means of (power) workshops, tailor-made mind maps, and inspiration sessions.

24KITCHEN TELEVISION Since October 2011, Angélique has been hosting her show called 'The Taste of Cooking' on the Dutch 24Kitchen food channel. Each episode zooms in on a specific ingredient as in her Flavour Friends cookbook. The show's format attracts active cooking enthusiasts as well as professionals, as it discusses several approaches to preparation, techniques, and combinations simultaneously. The Taste of Cooking distinguishes itself from other cooking shows as Angélique assumes the role of tour guide, taking viewers along on taste adventures in a world of new flavours and taste combinations.
