Tycho Onnasch is a tech entrepreneur. He’s currently advising founders building companies in the cryptocurrency and decentralised finance sectors.
Tycho first learnt about Bitcoin when he was 14 years old and developed a keen interest in finance shortly after. He went on to study History & Politics at the University of Oxford where he focussed on economic and financial history. Tycho graduated with First Class honours and won multiple prizes for his academic achievements. During his time at Oxford, he was elected to the governing body of the Oxford Union Debating Society where he organized debates about topics on the intersection of technology, finance and politics with world leaders.
These exchanges inspired Tycho to build a software company with some fellow Oxford graduates. They founded Deedmob, a startup developing specialised technology to increase volunteering. Deedmob’s products are used by nonprofits and (local) governments around the world and were awarded best-in-class volunteering software by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2020, Tycho was listed on Forbes 30 under 30 Europe.
Now that Deedmob has become a stable and established software company, Tycho is focussing on helping other entrepreneurs succeed – especially in the rapidly growing cryptocurrency and decentralised finance sectors. He has also continued pursuing his passion for free speech and debate by moderating events at international conferences – often on finance and technology related topics.
When it comes to personal style, Tycho is recognised for his sharp interviewing skills. His ability to put speakers at ease creates an open environment to discuss big topics in an engaging way.
